School History

1921 – The school opens with the name “ Nan Hua Public Separated Classroom.”

1923, April – The school’s name is changed to “ Nan Hua Public School – Bei Liao Branch.”

1942, April – The school becomes an independent establishment, and its name is changed to “ Bei Liao National School.”

1946, January – Name changed to “ Nan Hua Township 2^nd National School.”

1947, February – Name changed to “ Nan Hua Township Bei Liao National School.”

1948, February – Establishes “ Gong Tian Branch School.”

1953, September – Establishes “ Yu Shan Branch School.”

1960, September – Yu Shan branch has its status elevated to an independent establishment, renamed “ Yu Shan National School.” The school assumes administrative control of Guan Shan Branch School.

1968, August – The school is renamed to “ Tainan County Nan Hua Township Bei Liao  Elementary School.”

1986, September – Establishes an attachment to the school for kindergarten students.

2010, December 25 -  Tainan City and Tainan County Merge to become a direct-controlled municipality; the school name is changed to “ Tainan Municipal Nan Hua District Bei Liao  Elementary School.”
