麻豆國小老舊校舍拆除整地與拆除重建工程公共藝術設置簡介

為打造麻豆國小獨特的文教藝術氛圍，學校依據公共藝術設置辦法規定，以近百萬預算規模對外公開徵選出優秀藝術團隊—禹禹藝術，希望透過藝術界巧思為麻豆國小校區優雅變身，注入新貌。

麻豆最負盛名的文旦與五王祭典麻豆香，是作品發想的原點，文旦圓潤樸實的外表就如同這個城鎮的韻味和學校紮實的教育，這樣的地方風氣與教育環境裡，包覆的卻是晶瑩剔透，飽滿亮麗的果實，孩子們就像這晶瑩透亮的果粒總讓人驚豔，他們充滿活力與無限可能。

  而在麻豆香祭典中，十二婆姐陣是麻豆傳承悠久的文化技藝與記憶，護佑孩童平安長大，是最親近孩子的神祈，作品中轉化婆姐們手持的傘，讓它像大樹又像保護傘，讓孩子們在傘下遊玩嬉戲，如同婆姐們一直都在，一直保佑著孩子們，平安健康的長大。

Pomelo and Wuwang ritual Madou incense sticks are the most famous items of Madou, being the inspirations of the work. Pomelos are round and simple, similar to the charm of this town and the solid education of the schools here. The local atmosphere and educational environment are wrapped with translucent, rich and pretty fruits. Children are like fruit grains, translucent and glittering. They always surprise us with their endless energy and infinite possibilities.

In the Madou incense ritual, the Twelve Grannies inherit the cultural skills and memories of Madou, blessing children to grow up safely. They are the deities intimate to children. The work transforms the umbrellas held by the Grannies into umbrellas as large as trees to protect the children and allow them to play under the umbrellas as if the Grannies are always there. Blessing the children, the Grannies help the children grow up peacefully and healthily.
